Privacy Policy
The short version: we collect only what we need to run your home plan, we do not sell it, and you can take it or delete it whenever you like.
We never sell your personal data, and only you can see your home details — access is locked to your own account.
What we collect
- Your account: your email address and the name you give us when you sign up. Your password is stored securely (hashed) by our sign-in provider; we never see it.
- About your home: what you tell the setup wizard — things like your ZIP code, home type, year built, heating, cooling and water systems, equipment, and how the home is used.
- Your plan activity: the tasks on your plan, any notes you add, when you tick things off, and changes you make.
- Feedback you send: if you use the feedback button, we keep your message so we can act on it.
How we use it
We use this information for one thing: to give you a useful home maintenance plan and remind you about it. Your ZIP code, for example, lets us tailor seasonal timing and show the local weather for outdoor jobs. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it to build a profile of you for advertisers.
Where it lives, and who we share it with
Your data is stored in a secure hosted database (Supabase), protected so that only your own signed-in account can read it. We rely on a few trusted service providers to run CedarKeep, and share only what each needs to do its job:
- Supabase — stores your account and home data and handles sign-in.
- Resend — sends the emails you ask for, such as sign-in links and password-reset links.
- A weather service — when we show good days for outdoor jobs, we look up the public forecast for your area. We send only your ZIP code for this, never your name or details.
- AI features — if you use an AI-assisted feature, the text you type for it is sent to our AI provider to generate a suggestion. It is used to answer you, not to train models on your data.
We may also disclose information if the law genuinely requires it. If CedarKeep is ever transferred to new owners, your data would move with it under these same promises.
Cookies
We use a small sign-in cookie to keep you logged in as you move around the site. It is needed for the app to work; we do not use cookies to track you across other websites.
Links to other sites
Some product suggestions link out to other companies’ websites (and we may earn a small commission, disclosed where the link appears). Once you leave CedarKeep, that other site’s own privacy policy applies, not ours.
Your control
Your data is yours. From your account page you can download a full copy at any time, and you can delete your home (start over) or close your account. When you delete data, it is removed from your plan. If you ever want help with any of this, use the Feedback button and we will sort it out.
Changes, and reaching us
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and, for anything significant, try to let you know. Questions about your privacy? Use the Feedback button on any page — we read every message.
