We want CedarKeep to be a home app you can actually trust. So here is exactly how we make money, and the lines we will not cross. Plain English, no surprises.
The local pros we suggest never pay us
When CedarKeep points you to a local professional (say a plumber, an electrician, or a roofer), we choose them on the things that actually matter: current licensing, honest reviews, and a solid reputation. Never on who pays us.
No contractor can pay to be listed, pay for a higher ranking, or pay to have a bad review hidden. We earn nothing whether or not you hire anyone. Helping you find a good pro is simply free.
We will never sell your details as a paid lead to a list of companies who bid for them, the way many sites quietly do. We are loyal to you, not to the businesses.
This is exactly how our Find a local prohelp works: we point you to your state's official licence board and a neutral search, and show you how to vet a pro and get three quotes. We suggest the method, never a specific person, and no one pays us to appear.
How we make money, and how we keep it honest
CedarKeep is free to use, and here is how we plan to keep it that way:
- Affiliate links on some product picks. If you buy a part like a furnace filter through one of our links, we may earn a small commission, at no extra cost to you.
- A few tasteful ads on the free plan. They are clearly marked, and they never pop up or auto-play.
- An optional Pro subscription, for people who want the extras. Going Pro is always your choice.
Here is the line we hold. We decide what to recommend first, then add a link, never the other way round. A commission never changes which product we pick, or where it ranks. And for anything to do with safety, money never touches our advice. That means smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, and any gas, electrical, roof, or structural work. For those, we will always tell you to call a licensed pro.

Your home details and your plan belong to you. We do not sell your data. You can download a full copy whenever you like, straight from your account page, and we will never hold it hostage.

Some of what CedarKeep suggests, including the helper, is AI-assisted. We label that clearly, and we remind you to double-check anything that matters. For gas, electrical, structural, or roof work, please use a licensed professional. Good guidance should never pretend to be more sure than it is.
